52 Weeks: Week 37

I am trying to enjoy my home in the mountains, but all I can think about is the beautiful Florida beaches. I thought it would be interesting to juxtapose the two extremes...me in my very wooded and mountainous backyard, looking at the latest Florida travel guide and dreaming of returning soon. I have really enjoyed my mountain home, but I think I am ready to trade it in for a beach lifestyle. Although both extremes have their pros and cons, I have grown tired of the mountains. Yes, I will be trading cooler weather, low humidity, changing seasons, and gorgeous fall foliage for hot and humid, little change each season, and green palm trees...but I think I am ready to do so...at least for a little while. When I tire of Florida, I can always move again! :) I am kind of like a gypsy. I've lived in many different places with a variety of landscapes, environs, and climate. I just really enjoy changing things up every now and then. A few years here, a few there...I really get to experience many different lifestyles that way. I know people who have lived in the same place all of their lives and have no desire to ever leave. More power to them, if that is what they enjoy. Me, I thrive on getting to know a place and then moving on to the next one. I can't wait to try a new lifestyle...the Florida life! ) Goodbye, mountains! Hello, beach! :)
